7 pairs of shoes and 2 handbags
Jimmy Choo and Elton John AIDS Foundation have launched a photo competition to support the launch of Project PEP, a charity collection that donates 25% of sales to the Simelela Rape Centre in South Africa . The money goes towards providing the HIV-preventative treatment PEP (which must be taken within 72 hours of exposure to HIV) and counselling to victims of rape in South Africa, which has the highest count of rape in the world.
The overall winners will be announced after the competition close on 7th December. On offer is a Grand Prize of the ultimate Jimmy Choo VIP experience – the winner will be invited to spend a day of luxury and the Jimmy Choo HQ and choose 7 pairs of shoes and 2 handbags to keep. Plus over 100 exclusive Jimmy Choo prizes will also be awarded.

Let’s face it.
We, once in a while, are fascinated every time we see plain, monochrome, clean, minimalist things. Hard to find, I promise. Well, and if you find one, let me tell you, you’d rather buy something else after looking at the tag price.
Let’s take a tee, for example. See T by Alexander Wang, it will cost you around $75.00. Yes. $75.00 my dear friends. Now take a look at an Elizabeth and James tee by MK and Ashley Olsen,oh, I don’t even want to start talking about the $. But of course, the $$$ on the tags are equivalent to the quality of the garment.
But honest to God, those are the ones that you call pricey.
Especially to a broke girl like me.

Pure genius.

This is not the official video, but wth, it’s a perfect match. God, I love this song. And the guy’s cute. =))))
I swear.
After intrams, I’m going to buy new shoes. Ohh, or FGF? :”>

I am in shoe heaven.
I want more ankle boots. I want flat booties and oxfords.
I need shoes. I want shoes. = I need money. I want money,
Oh crap, I am broke and drooling.
Not a good sign, people.
At all.

“Apparently this last season Karl Lagerfeld saw something special in her too.
Of the 40 looks that were in the Karl Lagerfeld show, 10 girls walked the runway twice. Charlotte was one and she OPENED Lagerfeld. Talk about first impressions.”- Altamira NYC
Now this is one perfect corner, indeed.
I’m so sorry, here am I again with my dream rooms.

PFW Spring/Summer 2010

This is when everyone — photographers, stylists, models and yes, even bloggers — come together to experience and see creations of wonderful artists that we call fashion designers.
The first show that I was able to watch was the Premier B Collection featuring the designers, Delby Bragais, Edwin Uy, Jake Penalosa, John Guarnes and Nolie Vineza, October 24, 2009 at the SMX Convention Center Hall 2.
Fast forward later that day, 7:30pm at the same hall, I watched, together with my GIFTmates and friends, Lyle Ibanez’ show which featured mostly garments in the shades of black and white.
I was also able to watch the Premier C Collection after Lyle Ibanez’ show, thanks to Happy Andrada, a former Paulinian, who gave us 30 tickets for the said collection. The Premier C Collection featured designers Arnold Galang, Dita Sandico-Ong, Enrico Carado, Happy Andrada and Tina Daniac.
Monday, October 26, 2009, after planning for our Elective bazaar January of next year (that’s Business Management for me. Btw, me and my elective-mates will be selling pre-made shirts inspired by different icons, like Michael Jackson and such. Watch out for that! ;)) I was in a hurry because we we’re going to watch the only show that day, which was the Ready To Wear/Vision and Trends Collection featuring designers Alodia Cecilia, Anna Leah Salvador, Ava Paguyo of Project Runway Philippines Season 1, Ciege Cagalawan, Dimple Lim, Don Protasio, Jian Lasala, Lizanne Cua, Pier Lim, Reian Mata and Tippi Ocampo. Oh and thanks to Pier Lim for giving us tickets for the said show.
This PFW S/S 2010 was all about ease.
RTW/Vision and Trends: Don Protasio
RTW/Visions and Trends: Ciege Calawan
See Don Protasio’s collection, it was my favorite all in all. It reminded me a bit of Pleasure Principle’s signature looks, the drapes and the flow of the fabrics during the show truly caught my attention. The models worked the runaway barefoot which made his collection truly dramatic. Ciege Calawan and Alodia Cecilla presented also a collection full of flowy fabrics and whites.
RTW/Visions and Trends: Pier Lim
RTW/ Visions and Trends: Ava Paguyo
RTW/ Visions and Trends: Dimple Lim
But there were also collections full of color, if not, there were hints of it, here and there. Just like the collections of Pier Lim, Ava Paguyo and Dimple Lim. Pier Lim’s paint print was refreshing to the eye and the details, such as studs and faux fur, made it more interesting while Ava Paguyo’s was just as playful as she incoporated logos as details to her creations. Dimple Lim’s beaded headpieces, drop crotch jumpsuits and graphic prints were the sure hits.
RTW/Visions and Trends: Reian Mata
And of course, like Balmain’s S/S 2010, some collections sported blazers with bold shoulders, just like Reian Mata’s collection which was paired with garments with lovely details such as lace.
Philippine Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010 proved that our very own designers can be in line with the fashion industry’s big designers. And all we need to do is to support and see what’s next that Philippine fashion industry has to give.
